At Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, research is fully integrated into the DVM program, providing ample opportunities for veterinary students to learn and explore. The CVM Summer Scholar Research Program at Iowa State University exposes veterinary students to careers in research. Interest in these careers is stimulated by providing active research experience through a summer project and by exposing students to successful role models in both the academic and industry side of animal health and biomedical research.
Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Research Award for Graduate Veterinarians

This award is open to graduate veterinarians who will soon complete of have recently completed a PhD program in the biomedical sciences, or who are in the final 1 or 2 years of residency training in the field of veterinary pathology, medicine, surgery, radiology/imaging, or laboratory animal medicine.
