Three individuals have been selected to receive the 2018 Stange Award, the highest award presented to distinguished alumni in the college. The award is presented annually for outstanding professional achievement in the area of education, government, industry, practice or other professional endeavors in veterinary medicine.
This year's Stange Award for Meritorious Service recipients are:
- Dr. T. Robert Bashara (’63), Retired Small Animal Practitioner & Current CFO, Doris Day Animal Foundation
- Dr. Daryl Olsen (’82), Senior Partner, AMVC Management Services
- Dr. Martin R. Smith (’76), Founder, Drs. Foster & Smith
Two individuals have been selected to receive the 2018 Switzer Award. The Switzer Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to society and to the College of Veterinary Medicine.
This year's William P. Switzer Award in Veterinary Medicine recipients are:
- Dr. Darrell L. Neuberger ('77), Retired, Zoetis Technical Services
- Dr. William O. Reece ('54), University Professor Emeritus, ISU
The College of Veterinary Medicine will present the awards to the recipients during a special awards breakfast on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at the Gateway Hotel.
