Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine at the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine
The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) is part of the larger VDPAM department, its faculty and staff are extensively connected to and serve food animal agriculture. In addition to our laboratory, faculty and staff operate the Food Animal and Camelid Hospital, the ISU Veterinary Field Service, the ISU Embryo Transfer Service and the Food Animal Theriogenology Service units as well as which provide the latest medical and surgical services and reproductive technologies to the region. VDPAM also house the Swine Medicine Education Center and numerous extension veterinarians.

- Direct or support studies to provide understanding of pathogenesis, transmission, epidemiology and control of infectious and toxicological diseases
