Young Swine Vet of the Year

Chris Sievers’ path into swine medicine was solidified by internships and the mentorship that accompanied them during his time in the College of Veterinary Medicine. It was during a summer internship at the Swine Vet Center that he realized that was where he wanted to practice after graduating. “I really enjoyed the veterinarians and how they worked with their progressive clients,” Sievers said. “It was a good match for me and where I wanted to be after veterinary school.” Sievers has excelled at that clinic and was recently named the American Association of Swine Veterinarians’ Young Swine Veterinarian of the Year Award.
