The Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center in Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine has been named a Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) Level II Certified Facility.
The VECCS certification program recognizes hospitals such as the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center that meet and exceed the minimum standards and guidelines established by the VECCS. The certification program identifies a Level II certified facility as “a 24-hour acute care facility with the medical staff, personnel and training necessary to provide emergent and critical patient care.”
The Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center is open to receive small animal emergency patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
