South Dakota Top Docs

A quartet of Iowa State alumni made a clean sweep of the top awards recently handed out by the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Larry Carpenter (’82) of Sturgis was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for his service in the U.S. Army. Drs. William and Norma Headlee (both ’78) were honored as South Dakota’s Veterinarians of the Year. The Headlees have operated a practice in their home town of Kadoka for 39 years. Dr. Eric Knock (’07), the owner of the Prairie View Veterinary Clinic, received the Emerging Leader Award.
