Grant Jacobson dreamed of someday returning to the area where he was born and raised. That dream was realized in 1999 when he starting practicing in Marshalltown, Iowa. A quarter of century later, he continues to practice in Marshalltown in his own practice, the Hometown Veterinarian. Jacobson aims to continue providing top-level care for small animals (anything that doesn’t have hooves or an exoskeleton, in his words), and a long-term goal is to establish a 24-hour emergency service.
