As a veterinary student at Iowa State, Dawn Gallagher Tulson was mentored by Dr. Jeff Richards. "Dr. Richards mentored me when I was a veterinary student and was a wonderful fount of knowledge, with practical advice for a student," Tulson said. "He and his family were always supportive and wonderful." When Richard passed away recently, his clinic, the St. Joseph Veterinary Hospital, closed until Tulson, who also owns the Village Vet in Stevensville, Michigan, purchased Richards' clinic.
