VM3 Mini Rotations

January 2018

It’s good to be back, even though I miss the California weather. This semester I am so excited for what is to come.

This semester we get to do mini rotations with the 4th year students. I just had my first mini-rotation last Thursday on the ophthalmology service. At first I was nervous that I would stick out like a sore thumb and not know anything, however everyone on the service was positive, helpful and understanding of my knowledge level. It was so encouraging to see how passionate the professors are and to see how 4th year may look like. With 4th year coming up this opportunity was really refreshing and has made me more confident and excited for clinical rotations!

Though it is cold in Iowa now, I am glad to be back, the excitement of 4th year coming around the corner really shines a bright light on this semester!
