Introducing Jackie Lee, VM3

November 2017

Hello everyone!

My name is Jackie Lee and I am so excited to share my experience at ISU CVM with you all.

I am originally from Southern California. Moving to Iowa has become my first “out of state” schooling experience. I'm a third-year veterinary student and my focus and area of experience is with small animals. However, I plan to track mixed animal during my fourth year.

At ISU, I am involved with the Shelter Medicine Club and also am a student representative for Elanco. I love being involved in the Shelter Medicine club, not only is the executive team close knit, but as a team we have really made some changes to what the club offers to students. Being a student representative for Elanco has also been very rewarding, not only do I learn more about the products that Elanco provides to the veterinary community but I have also met and worked with many amazing veterinarians!

Juggling school and extracurricular activities is hard but I try to always find time for myself! In my free time I like to walk and play with my two dogs and two cats, try to bake or try to explore Des Moines, Ames and Ankeny. Moving to Iowa has been life changing but I am so glad to be here.

I look forward to sharing more of how my life has changed by moving to Ames!
