This test is intended to screen for strongly beta-hemolytic and weakly beta-hemolytic Brachyspira species. Due to the inherently high level of background flora in fecal samples, the ISUVDL Bacteriology Section does not pool samples for Brachyspira culture. Samples are set up individually, reported individually, and charged individually.
